Belgium - Match Official Level 1 Courses

This weekend 2 World Rugby Match officials level 1 courses took place in Antwerp and Gent in Belgium. The main target group were youngsters in order to promote officiating at an early age in Belgium.

The participants enjoyed a practical course on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon. On Saturday morning all participants had opportunities to referee U8/U10 and U12 matches. They enjoyed the match experience and we look forward to their next tournaments to officiate in the centre or as assistant referee. On the 4th of december 5 courses are planned at 5 different venues in Belgium to promote women officiating. Therefore these match officials level 1 courses will be only open for girls and women. This to catch up with the growth of the women's game in Belgium.
